Public Betting Trends

According to oddsmakers, the Braves are the slight favorite on the road, as they are getting odds of -115 to win. The Twins are listed with a money line of -105 to win, while the over/under total has been set at 10 runs. The public betting for the contest currently has 55 percent going on the Twins at home. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our MLB Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Braves bounce back

After a 5-3 loss on Monday, the Braves came back in a big way on Tuesday by picking up a 12-7 win over the Twins. Atlanta is 67-48 on the season, 35-23 on the road and 57-53 with the over. The Braves have Max Fried on the mound today. He is 12-4 on the season with a 4.07 ERA.

The Braves pounded out 12 runs on 16 hits last night to get the win over the Twins. Ronald Acuna Jr. hit the first pitch of the game over the wall for his 28th home run while Freddie Freeman also connected on his 28th homer. Freeman had four RBI in the game while Acuna had two. Ozzie Albie has four hits and two RBI while Brian McCann had two hits and drove in three. Mike Foltynewicz got the win to move to 3-5 on the year. He gave up three runs over 5.1 innings and had seven strikeouts.

Twins end win streak

Minnesota had its four-game win streak come to an end on Tuesday in the 12-7 loss to the Braves. Minnesota is 70-43 on the season, 35-22 at home and 58-49 with the over. The Twins have Martin Perez on the mound today. He is 8-4 on the year with a 4.58 ERA.

Jose Berrios struggled a great deal on Tuesday night to take his sixth loss of the year. He allowed nine runs over 5.2 innings on nine hits and four walks. Minnesota still had 10 hits in the loss. Nelson Cruz continued his recent power surge with a pair of home runs. He drove in four for the game. Eddie Rosario and Mitch Garver also went long in the loss.

MLB Betting Trends

Atlanta

The Braves are 7-1 in Fried’s last eight road starts and 6-0 in his last six starts against winning teams.

Minnesota

The Twins are 4-1 in their last five home games, but just 1-9 in their last 10 Game 3’s of a series.

Prediction:

Fried has been pretty steady, going about 5-6 innings while giving up a few runs. However, his road ERA is 4.40 and his day-game ERA is 5.82. Perez has been shaky as of late, giving up 13 runs over his last 15 innings. I don’t think Atlanta is going to be able to put up 12 runs like it did last night even with Perez’ struggles. Fried is being given a little too much credit with Atlanta as the favorite. I don’t expect him to have a lot of success with this Minnesota lineup. I like the Twins to bounce back and take this big rubber match.

MLB Prediction: Minnesota Twins -105
