Public Betting Trends

According to the latest oddsmakers, Auburn is the clear favorite on the road, as the Tigers are getting odds of -19 points against Arkansas. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 55 points. The public betting currently has 82 percent going on Auburn as a road favorite. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our NCAAF Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Auburn falls at Florida

The Tigers had a bye week last week, but are coming off a 24-13 loss at Florida two weeks ago for their first defeat of the year. Auburn is 5-1 on the year, 2-1 in the SEC, 5-1 against the spread and 3-3 with the over/under total.

Auburn has held up well on defense despite a strong schedule. The Tigers are giving up just 18.3 points and 333.2 yards per game this year. Offensively, Auburn is putting up 33.8 points and 424.2 yards per contest. The team has lost JaTarvious Whitlow for multiple weeks. The back had rushed for 544 yards and seven touchdowns this year, but has a knee injury. Quarterback Bo Nix has thrown for 1,125 yards and eight touchdowns while rushing for 191 yards and two scores. Seth Williams is his leading receiver with 21 catches for 368 yards and five touchdowns.

Razorbacks on a slide

Arkansas is riding a three-game losing streak following a 24-20 loss at Kentucky last weekend. The Razorbacks are now 2-4 on the season, 0-3 in the SEC, 2-4 against the spread and 5-1 with the under.

The Razorbacks are giving up 27.3 points and 400.8 yards per game on defense this year while putting up 27.2 points and 410.7 yards per contest on offense. Rakeem Boyd has been leading the offense with 617 rushing yards and five touchdowns while Nick Starkel has thrown for 1,060 yards and seven touchdowns, but also has seven interceptions. Trey Knox is leading the team in receiving with 23 catches for 323 yards and two touchdowns.

College Football Betting Trends

Auburn

The Tigers are 12-5 with the over in their last 17 games against a losing team, but 15-5-1 with the under in their last 21 games following a loss.

Arkansas

The Razorbacks have hit the under in six of their last seven overall and in four straight conference games.

Prediction:

These two have hit the over in four of their last five meetings, including the last two at Arkansas. The Razorbacks are struggling for sure, but Auburn isn’t an overpowering offense either. The Tigers are going to be without their leading rusher, which puts more of the expectations on Nix, who still isn’t a polished decision-maker. I expect the Auburn defense to be what leads the Tigers on Saturday, holding an average Arkansas offense to low numbers.
