Philipp Grubauer allowed three goals on 25 shots in Tuesday’s 3-2 overtime loss against the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 5. Grubauer and the Avalanche held a 2-0 series lead, but they have coughed up three consecutive games and now have their backs against the wall heading into Game 6 in Las Vegas on Thursday night at 9pm ET on NBCSN. Grubauer lost just nine games in the regular season, and he had lost back-to-back games just once in season, with no losing skid of three or more games.
