According to our MLB Public Betting Chart page, 64% of the betting tickets are on the Rays to beat the Orioles on the moneyline.

Baltimore Orioles Fantasy Spin

Trey Mancini finished 2-for-5 with a run scored in the Orioles’ win over the Red Sox on Monday. Mancini’s early-season barrage of opposing pitchers continues. He’s now rocking a .343/.400/.701 batting line with six home runs, 12 RBI, and 17 runs scored in 17 games played. The 27-year-old outfielder was a disappointment in many ways last summer, but he should be on the radar again in all mixed fantasy leagues.

Tampa Bay Rays Fantasy Spin

Tyler Glasnow limited the White Sox to two hits over six scoreless frames Wednesday in the Rays’ 9-1 victory. He issued one walk while registering a career-high 11 strikeouts in the six-inning gem. The Rays gave Glasnow plenty of run support in the rout, but the right-hander didn’t need it, holding the Pale Hose to a pair of singles over his 85 pitches. Glasnow finished his tour de force by retiring the final 11 batters he faced. Acquired last year in a trade that sent Chris Archer to Pittsburgh, the former fifth-round pick has been unstoppable in the early going, supplying a superb 0.53 ERA over his first three starts. The 25-year-old will carry a flawless 3-0 record into his next outing Wednesday against Baltimore.

MLB Betting Trends

Baltimore

The Orioles are 2-12 in their last 14 games played at Tropicana Field.

Tampa Bay

The Rays have beaten the Orioles four straight times.

Prediction:

Rays starter Tyler Glasnow has turned around his career in Tampa. Once a top pitching prospect that simply couldn’t get over the hump in Pittsburgh, Glasnow has been excellent since Tampa acquired him the Chris Archer trade a year ago. I love his matchup with an inconsistent Orioles club that will be hard-pressed to repeat its performance yesterday at Fenway when it scratched across 8 runs in a win over the Red Sox. Meanwhile, the Rays will face a starter in Dylan Bundy who gives up a ton of home runs and also walks a ton of batters. He does have an elite strikeout at 29.3%, but that’s about all he does well.

The Pick: Tampa Bay Rays -1.5 (-130)
