Bruins fall in OT

Boston lost by a count of 3-2 at home in double overtime Sunday night in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals versus Columbus. Boston led 1-0 through one period after a Matt Grzelzyk power play goal at the 12:10 mark on assists from Charlie McAvoy and David Krejci. The Blue Jackets tied it up 1:03 into the second period, but the Bruins again took a 2-1 advantage a minute later on a David Pastrnak goal off assists from Charlie Coyle and Marcus Johansson. Columbus tied it up later in the second period and after a scoreless third period, Columbus won it 3:42 into the second overtime. Tuukka Rask surrendered three goals on 41 shots in the defeat.

Duchene wins it in double OT

Columbus secured a 3-2 victory Sunday night at Boston to tie their best-of-7 Eastern Conference semifinals series. Matt Duchene won it 3:42 into the second overtime off assists by Artemi Panarin and Cam Atkinson. The Blue Jackets trailed 1-0 through one period, but tied the score a minute into the second period on a Panarin power play goal with assists courtesy of Seth Jones and Atkinson. The Bruins grabbed the lead 58 seconds later, yet Panarin scored his second goal of the period at the 11:59 mark on a Jones assist to tie it at 2-2. NHL Betting Information

Boston

The Bruins are 4-1 in their last five road games. Boston is 22-7 in its last 29 Tuesday games.

Columbus

The Blue Jackets are 7-1 in their last eight home games. Columbus is 12-2 in its last 14 games overall.

Prediction:

Expect a lot of one-goal games in this series and this should be another tightly contested games. Boston has shown the ability time and time again to bounce back from losses and I don’t think this will be any different. The Bruins have a bunch of veterans who have played in countless big games and I think they make enough big plays here to put their squad back ahead ine series.
