Milwaukee Bucks DFS Notes

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored a team-high 31 points on Sunday evening, also adding 14 rebounds and a triple in a 104-111 loss to the Hawks. He added four assists, a steal and two blocks in what is the not-so-new normal for Giannis’ stat lines. He went nuts Saturday night in a rout of the 76ers and only needed to play 24 minutes in that one, so he probably had some fresh legs on Sunday. It didn’t really matter though, because the Bucks can’t seem to stop having both slow starts and finishes to their games this season – they got outscored 41-26 tonight. The Bucks still have a shot to get the first seed in the East, which will lower Giannis’ chances of random maintenance and rest days, much to the enjoyment of his fantasy managers.

Charlotte Hornets DFS Notes

LaMelo Ball (right wrist surgery) is “progressing” but coach James Borrego said there is “no way to predict right now if he’ll be ready to play this week.” It was reportedly on Apr. 19 that the Hornets were optimistic they might have Ball back on the court within 7-10 days, though that now seems premature. Fantasy GMs with a bye in Week 19 should absolutely grab him wherever possible, but in other situations it’s a case-by-case decision. Considering a return this week is even being discussed, though, we’ll upgrade his injury status to ‘day-to-day’.

Bucks vs. Hornets Game Prediction

The Bucks are 0-7 against the spread in their last seven meetings with the Hornets on the road and are 0-4 against the number in their last four games versus Charlotte overall. They’re also 3-7 against the number in their last 10 games coming off an ATS loss and are 4-10 against the spread in their last 14 games following a straight up loss. On the other side, the Hornets have covered in seven of their last 10 home games and are 16-5-1 against the number in their last 22 games as a home dog.

NBA PREDICTION: CHARLOTTE HORNETS +9.5
