Bucks vs. Trail Blazers, 4/2/21 NBA Predictions, Odds & DFS Notes

The second game of NBATV’s double header on Friday night pits the Bucks against the Trail Blazers at 10:00 p.m. ET. Will Giannis Antetokoupo and Milwaukee cover as a 3.5-point road favorite or will Portland cash as a home underdog?

Game Snapshot

559 Milwaukee Bucks (-3.5) at 560 Portland Trail Blazers (+3.5); o/u 236.5

10:00 p.m. ET, Tuesday, April 2, 2021

Venue: Moda Center, Portland, OR

Milwaukee Bucks DFS Notes

Giannis Antetokounmpo hit 10-fo-21 shots, two 3-pointers and 10-of-12 free throws for 32 points, six rebounds, three assists and a block in 34 minutes of Monday’s 129-105 loss to the Clippers. Giannis had scored just 16 and 13 points in his previous two games so it was nice to see him get back on track tonight. While the free throws were nice to see there are still no indications that he’s going to start hitting them on a regular basis. In three of his previous four games he went 3-of-6, 4-of-7 and 5-of-8 shots from the line, so while tonight’s performance may have stopped the bleeding, he’s still not very good at shooting them.

Portland Trail Blazers DFS Notes

Damian Lillard had a 33-point, 10-assist double-double in Wednesday’s 124-101 win over the Pistons, adding four boards, five triples, one steal and two turnovers in 36 minutes. Lillard had been in a mini-funk, connecting on just 31.6% of his shot attempts over the past three games, but he got things back on track tonight finishing 9-of-19 from the field, -of-7 from distance and 10-of-11 from the stripe. C.J. McCollum was also locked in in the easy win, contributing 24 points (8-of-16 FG, 4-of-4 FT), three rebounds, six assists, four triples, one steal, two swats and one turnover in 36 minutes.

Bucks vs. Trail Blazers Game Prediction

The Bucks have covered in seven of their last nine road games versus the Blazers and are 14-4-1 against the number in their last 19 games versus Portland overall. The Blazers, meanwhile, are 6-13-2 at the betting window in their last 21 games as a home underdog and have failed to cover in five of their last seven home games.

NBA PREDICTION: MILWAUKEE BUCKS -3.5
