The pitching matchup today has Andrew Moore (1-1, 3.86 ERA) pitching for Seattle to face Derek Holland (5-9, 5.01) of the White Sox. Holland was originally scheduled to start on Saturday, but was pushed back a day. Holland has really struggled entering the break. He has allowed at least five runs in five of his last seven starts. His ERA has gone from 2.37 on May 27 to 5.01 now. He has 78 strikeouts with 38 walks this season and a 1.52 WHIP. Moore has started three games this season, going 21 innings while allowing nine earned runs with 10 strikeouts and two walks. His WHIP on the season is 0.90.

Seattle has taken the first two games in this series, picking up a 4-2 win on Friday and a 4-3 win on Saturday. The Mariners are now 45-47 overall and 18-25 on the road while the White Sox are 38-51 overall and 19-20 at home.

Saturday saw Felix Hernandez get his fifth win of the season despite going just five innings. He allowed only one earned run in the win. Nelson Cruz hit his 18th home run of the season and drove in two in the win while Kyle Seager also homered. The White Sox were led by Mekly Cabrera, who had four hits with two RBI and his 11th home run of the season.

Bet on Mariners vs. White Sox

Holland has struggled for the last six weeks, but his performances at home are still largely good. He is only 2-4, but has a 3.12 ERA in seven starts in Chicago this season. Moore has looked good, but has had limited starts. This will actually be his first road start of the season and that could spell a bad outing. I like Holland at home with his good numbers at his home park while Moore will struggle in his first road outing.
