Cleveland Cavs DFS Spin

Kevin Love (right calf strain) will remain on the sidelines for Friday’s game against the Knicks. Love initially went down with the calf strain on Dec. 28 and then it was reported that he’d be re-evaluated in 3-4 weeks. We’re now past the four-week mark, but we’ve received zero updates from Cleveland, which would imply that he’s still not close. The 32-year-old, oft-injured forward has only appeared in two games for Cleveland this season, and while he didn’t look great, we’d still recommend stashing him in an IR-spot. Hopefully, Cleveland will provide some sort of update within the next week or so.

New York Knicks DFS Spin

Julius Randle finished Tuesday’s loss to the Jazz with 18 points (6-of-16 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), 10 rebounds, four assists and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes. Another game, another double-double for Randle, who has put up five in his last six games and 13 this season (ten in January). The coaching change has worked wonders for Randle when it comes to his fantasy value, as he is a top-50 player in both 8- and 9-cat formats. His Yahoo 9-cat ADP was 82, so it’s safe to say that Julius is exceeding expectations.

Cavs vs. Knicks Betting Prediction

The Cavs have covered the spread in six of their last eight games played against the Knicks at Madison Square Garden and are 5-1 in their last six games overall. The Knicks, meanwhile, are just 2-5 against the number in their last seven games coming off a loss, are 5-13 against the spread in their last 18 games playing on two days of rest and have failed to cover in seven of nine after allowing 100 points or more in their previous contest.

NBA BETTING PREDICTION: CLEVELAND CAVS -1
