Public Betting Trends

According to our MLB Public Betting Chart page, 67% of the betting tickets are on the Twins to beat the Indians on the moneyline.

Cleveland Indians Fantasy Spin

Jose Ramirez went 2-for-3 with three RBI and a run scored in Thursday’s win over the Twins. Ramirez laced an RBI single to center field in the fourth inning and ripped a bases-loaded, two-run double into the right field corner in the fifth. It’s no secret that the 26-year-old has turned over a new leaf in recent weeks, and he’s been especially effective during a seven-game hitting streak. In that stretch, Ramirez is batting .400 with six doubles, two homers, seven RBI and six runs scored. The good week has his overall line up to .248/.321/.440 in 112 games.

Minnesota Twins Fantasy Spin

Luis Arraez went 2-for-3 with an RBI single in Thursday’s loss to the Indians. Arraez got the Twins on the board with a run-scoring knock in the fourth inning. The two-hit game was his fourth in his last five contests, upping his already impressive line to even higher heights. In 49 games this year, the 22-year-old is hitting a robust .353/.426/.443 as Twins manager Rocco Baldelli continues to find ways to get him into the lineup.

MLB Betting Trends

Cleveland

The Indians have now won 12 of their last 14 road games following their victory last night in Minnesota.

Minnesota

The Twins are 36-17 in their last 53 games following a loss, but have also dropped three straight games.

Prediction:

Thanks to their offense, the Twins are never out of a game but the health status of Nelson Cruz (strained left wrist) is concerning. He missed a month with an injury to the same wrist earlier this season and while the Twins are saying he’s day-to-day, if he’s out of their lineup Minnesota loses one of the hottest hitters in baseball since the All-Star break. While the pitching matchup was more even last night, the Indians have a distinct advantage tonight. Cleveland has won four of Shane Bieber’s last five starts against the Twins and is 6-1 in his last seven starts overall. Granted, Devin Smeltzer has worked at least six innings in each of his first three major-league starts but surrendered five runs and five hits with four home runs over 6 1/3 innings against this same Cleveland team back on June 4.

The Pick: Cleveland Indians -147
