Bet on MLB for Thursday, March 29, 2018

The public is backing the Diamondbacks today. Arizona is currently getting 61 percent of the wagers for this game as the home favorite against the Rockies.

Arizona doesn’t have any hitters listed on the injury report for this game while Colorado has shortstop Pat Valaika as questionable with an oblique injury. He hit .258 for the Rockies last season over 110 games and produced 11 doubles, 13 home runs and 40 RBI.

Arizona won the last three meetings with Colorado last season, including the NL Wild Card game. The Diamondbacks have won eight of the last 10 in this series overall.

The Diamondbacks are coming off a 93-69 record last year where it went 52-29 at home. The D’Backs produced 812 runs while allowing just 659. Colorado had an 87-75 record last season to get a wild card spot. The Rockies were 41-40 on the road and scored 824 runs while allowing 757.

Both teams can mash the ball, even with the changes to the lineups in the offseason. The difference should be in the pitching. Arizona has the more consistent bullpen and the Diamondbacks have the home-field advantage as well. Colorado isn’t able to produce at the plate on the road as much and I don’t trust the Rockies’ bullpen. I like Arizona to come away with the win.
