MLB Predictions: Giants vs. Dodgers to Cash Under for Bettors? 3/29/18

Is the under a good play tonight in the National League West matchup between the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers?

Game Snapshot

(911) San Francisco Giants at (912) Los Angeles Dodgers

Thursday, March 29, 2018

TV: ESPN, 7:08 p.m. ET

Probable Starters: Ty Blach (L) at Clayton Kershaw (L)

According to oddsmakers from online sports book YouWager, the Dodgers are -300 money line favorites to beat the Giants, who are +140 on the money line. The total, meanwhile, sits at 7.5 runs.

Los Angeles hit the board as -300 money line favorites and that’s where the line currently sits. As for San Francisco, the Giants went from +250 up to +264 on the money line, while the total opened at 7 but climbed to 7.5.

Bet Tonight’s Giants vs. Dodgers Game

As of this writing, 80% of betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Dodgers to win on the money line. Meanwhile, 59% of the betting tickets are on the under.

I don’t need to tell you that the Giants are in serious trouble both today and in April. Madison Bumgarner, Jeff Samardzija and Will Smith are all on the disabled list, while Mark Melancon is still dealing with discomfort in his pitching elbow. The Dodgers will win tonight, but on the rare chance Blach pitches well and the Giants cover the runline, I think the under is the safest bet on the board. The under is 5-0 in the last five meetings between these two teams in Los Angeles, is 4-0 in the last four meetings overall, and has cashed in four straight when Blach faces the Dodgers. Furthermore, the under is 23-7-2 in Kershaw’s last 32 starts versus the Giants and is 10-4-1 in his last 15 home starts against the Giants.
