The Vegas Golden Knights put their five-game winning streak on the line Sunday as they finish off a two-game set against the Los Angeles Kings.

Vegas picked up a 4-2 victory in the first game on Friday and extended its lead in the West Division with its 11th win in 13 contests. The Kings, meanwhile, are losing ground on the final playoff spot in the West and trailed the Blues by five points entering play Saturday.

Oddsmakers have the visiting side as a heavy -185 favorite with the total opening at 5.5.

Moneyline pick

There’s a reason why the Golden Knights are a -185 road favorite: They’ve won 11 of their last 13 contests and lead the league in point percentage per game at .768. Vegas currently has the second-best odds to win the Cup at +600. During their current hot streak, the top club in the West has beaten every team in the division.

On the season, the Golden Knights have won all three matchups against the Kings by a combined score of 13-7, with each win coming in regulation. The Kings were turning heads in February, but since the 26th of last month, Los Angeles has won just three of its last 11 games and finds itself on the outside of the playoff picture looking in.

Both teams will hit the road after Sunday to play another game Monday. This might work to the advantage of Vegas as it has just activated 1A goalie Robin Lehner, who picked up the 4-2 win on Friday. This means that Vegas can roll with either Lehner or Marc-Andre Fleury on Sunday, which is a much better tandem than L.A.’s Cal Petersen and Johnathan Quick.

The Knights’ offense has been supported by Mark Stone all season, with the team’s leading point-getter in the middle of a season-high 10-game point streak. Stone has four points in three games against the Kings this year and has contributed to a road offense that’s scoring 3.71 goals per game this month.

We might look to fade the Knights on Monday in St. Louis due to the extensive back-to-back travel schedule, but the league’s best team should take care of business on Sunday evening against a Kings team that is regressing to its early-season form.

PREDICTION: Vegas 3-way ML (-120)

Over/Under pick

Friday’s contest hit the Over (5.5) midway through the third period in a game that had nearly six expected goals, per MoneyPuck.com. That makes it a perfect 3-0 to the Over on the season’s matchup.

The Golden Knights have not had any problems scoring against the Kings this year, as they’ve potted at least four goals in each matchup. In the first meeting this year, back in early February, Vegas scored four straight goals and sent Quick to the bench before the game was done.

With both teams having to worry about hitting the road immediately following Sunday’s matchup, this could be a good spot for one or both teams to lay a dud defensively. This will be the first time since the beginning of the season that the Vegas coaching staff has had a predicament as to who to start in net, while this will mark the Kings’ last home game until April.

No team is scoring more goals this month than the Knights. Across their 11 games in March, the Knights are averaging 3.9 goals per game. Their 5-on-5 play has been otherworldly as the power play is scoring at just 18 percent in March, meaning the Knights are averaging nearly three even-strength goals per game. That’s better than the Capitals’ season-leading mark of 2.46 five-on-five goals per match.

We love a good 5.5 Over and with how good the Knights have been rolling, there’s a chance that they can do most of the damage themselves.

PREDICTION: Over 5.5 (-115)
