Pacers on a hot streak

Indiana is riding a four-game win streak right now following a pair of wins over the Timberwolves this week. The Pacers are 27-15 on the season, 10-10 on the road, 23-18-1 against the spread and 21-20-1 with the over.

The Pacers are a solid defense, allowing just 106.3 points per game while opponents shoot 44.4 percent from the field. Offensively, Indiana is putting up 109.2 points per game while shooting 47.2 percent from the floor. Jeremy Lamb is questionable to play tonight due to a hip injury. T.J. Warren has been leading the team in scoring with 18.1 points per game while Domantas Sabonis is putting up 17.8 points and 12.9 rebounds per contest.

Nuggets heating up

Denver is coming off a 134-131 win at Golden State on Thursday night for a third straight victory. The Nuggets have won five of their last six coming into today. Denver is 29-12 on the season, 17-5 on the road, 17-20-4 against the spread and 23-18 with the under.

Defensively, Denver ranks third in the league by allowing just 105.5 points per game while opponents shoot 45.3 percent against them. Offensively, Denver is putting up 109.5 points per game while shooting 46.2 percent from the field. Jamal Murray, Paul Millsap and Gary Harris are all out tonight due to injury. All three combine for over 40 points per game. Nikola Jokic is leading the team with 19.2 points, 9.9 rebounds and 6.4 assists per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

Indiana

The Pacers are 9-4-1 against the spread in their last 14 games as a road underdog and 4-1 ATS in their last five games following a failed cover.

Denver

The Nuggets are 2-5-2 against the spread in their last nine games and 2-7 ATS in their last nine games following a win.

Prediction:

These two met 17 days ago and Denver earned a 124-116 win over the Pacers in Indiana. Both teams have been playing well right now, but I like the Nuggets at home even with the injuries. They have managed to score consistently even being short-handed and I don’t trust Indiana to bring the offense on the road. The Pacers have not been as impactful on the road on both sides of the ball and I think they will get suffocated by the Denver defense on the road tonight.

NBA Prediction: Denver Nuggets -1.5
