Pacers trying to heat up

Indiana had a six-game losing streak early in the month, but the Pacers have won and covered in their last two, besting the Bucks and the Knicks. Indiana is 33-23 on the season, 14-13 on the road, 30-25-1 against the spread and 30-25-1 with the over.

The Pacers are giving up just 107.4 points per game this season while opponents shoot 44.8 percent against them. Offensively, Indiana is putting up 109.7 points per game while shooting 47.7 percent from the field. The Pacers are expected to be without Victor Oladipo tonight due to a back injury. He has played in just five games this season. T.J. Warren is leading the team with 18.7 points per game while Domantas Sabonis is adding 18.4 points and 12.5 rebounds per contest.

Raptors bounce back

Toronto had its 15-game win streak come to an end against the Nets before the All-Star break, but the Raptors bounced back on Friday with a 118-101 win over Phoenix at home. Toronto is 41-15 on the season, 22-7 at home, 32-24 against the spread and 30-25-1 with the over.

The Raptors are putting up 113 points per game this season while shooting 46.1 percent from the field. Defensively, Toronto allows just 106.5 points per game while holding opponents to 42.9 percent shooting from the field and 33.6 percent shooting from the arc. Pascal Siakam is leading the team with 23.8 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. Kyle Lowry is adding 19.5 points and 7.7 assists per contest.

NBA Betting Trends

Indiana

The Pacers are 8-2 against the spread in their last 10 road games, but just 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following a cover.

Toronto

The Raptors are 6-2 against the spread in their last eight home games, but just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games following a win of more than 10 points.

Prediction:

Toronto has won two of three meetings with Indiana, with both wins coming this month. The Raptors are playing at a high level right now, led by their veterans in Lowry and Serge Ibaka. Both have raised their game over the last month. The Pacers have won their last two, including a win over the Bucks, but Milwaukee was without Giannis in that game. We haven’t seen Indiana play consistently against good teams for a while, so I can’t trust them until they show me something in a big game.

NBA Prediction: Toronto Raptors -5.5
