According to our MLB Public Betting Chart page, 58% of the betting tickets are on the White Sox to beat the Royals on the moneyline.

Kansas City Royals Fantasy Spin

Hunter Dozier went 2-for-3 with a homer and a walk in a loss to the White Sox on Monday. Dozier took Ervin Santana deep to give the Royals a 1-0 lead, and it was the fourth blast of the year for the 27-year-old. He’s playing above his talent right now with a .300 average and .959 OPS, but let’s keep in mind that Dozier was once a top prospect in the Kansas City system. If he’s still available in deeper mixed leagues, you might wanna pounce now. It can’t hurt.

Chicago White Sox Fantasy Spin

Welington Castillo hit the go-ahead homer in a 5-4 victory over the Royals on Monday. Castillo came up with a runner on in the eighth inning, and he hit an opposite-field homer to give the White Sox a 5-4 lead and ultimately the victory. It’s a much-needed hit for Chicago and Castillo, as he has struggled mightily in the first few weeks of the season with a .107 average and .438 OPS. He’s too good of player to hit at levels like this for long, and this could be the start of a hot streak for the veteran backstop

MLB Betting Trends

Kansas City

The Royals are now just 1-4 in their last five road games versus the White Sox.

Chicago

The White Sox have won four of Reynaldo Lopez’s last five home starts versus the Royals and are 6-2 in his last eight outings versus Kansas City overall.

Prediction:

Chicago starter Reynaldo Lopez has a low strikeout rate, a high walk rate and is a fly-ball pitcher that gives up loads of hard contact. Hello, runs! On the other side, Jorge Lopez owns a hard contact rate of 43% to both right and left-handed hitters over the past two seasons. Hello, runs!

The Pick: Royals/White Sox OVER 9.5
