Lakers vs. Suns Game 5, 6/1/21 NBA Playoffs Predictions

The Suns evened up their series with the Lakers with an upset win in L.A. on Sunday, but will they cover as a 5-point home favorite in Game 5 on Tuesday night? Tip-off is set for 10:00 p.m. ET.

Game Snapshot

Venue: Phoenix Suns Arena

Los Angeles Lakers DFS Notes

Anthony Davis (strained left groin) is being listed as questionable for Tuesday’s Game 5 vs. Phoenix. Frank Vogel said Monday’s MRI confirmed the groin strain, but they’ll wait to see how he feels tomorrow, essentially implying that AD will be a game-time call. Earlier reporting indicated that it was unlikely that AD would be available for Game 5, so he seems to be a bit closer to doubtful than questionable, but perhaps we’ll get another update after tomorrow’s shootaround.

Phoenix Suns DFS Notes

Chris Paul hit 7-of-15 shots for 18 points, three rebounds, nine assists and three steals in Sunday’s 100-92 win over the Lakers. Not bad for a guy playing with one shoulder, right? Deandre Ayton kept it going with 14 points, 17 rebounds, two steals and a block in the clutch win for the Suns. Devin Booker and Jae Crowder both scored 17 points, and the Suns won despite Booker doing almost nothing in the second half of a game that saw Anthony Davis leave near halftime with a groin injury. The Suns will look to take a 3-2 lead on Tuesday when they’ll host the banged-up Lakers in Phoenix. Paul’s shoulder must feel better and this series is far from over, especially with Paul getting healthy and Davis now iffy for L.A.
