Public Betting Trends

According to our MLB Public Betting Chart page, 55% of the betting tickets are on the Brewers to beat the Mets on the moneyline.

Milwaukee Brewers Fantasy Spin

Christian Yelich went 3-for-4 with a homer, two RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base on Saturday in an 8-6 victory for the Brewers over the Mets. The homer is the 14th of the season for the 2018 MVP, and it’s the first to come away from Milwaukee. Yelich also drove in a run in the eighth on an infield single to extend the Brewers’ lead to 7-5. We’re running out of superlatives for Yelich, who has been the best offensive player in baseball since July. If you are betting on regression from the 27-year-old, you certainly haven’t seen it in April

New York Mets Fantasy Spin

Michael Conforto is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s game against the Phillies. Conforto gets a day off against Zach Elfin and the Phillies. Keon Broxton gets the start in right field, with Brandon Nimmo and Jeff McNeil rounding out the outfield in center and left, respectively. Conforto has been excellent to begin the year with a .271 average, .930 OPS and six homers in 26 games.

MLB Betting Trends

Milwaukee

The Brewers are 6-1 in Gio Gonzalez’s last seven starts.

New York

The Mets are 6-1 in Steven Matz’s last seven starts and are a perfect 4-0 in his last four outings at home.

Prediction:

Matz rebounded from his no-out, six earned run outing to strike out six batters over six innings in his last start. That said, he’ll face a Milwaukee offense that has been hot in this series and boasts the likes of Yelich, Travis Shaw and Mike Moustakes, who own a team wOBA of .349 against left-handers this season (that ranks 7th in the majors). I don’t know what we’ll get out of Gonzalez at this point but I like the Brewers’ value on the money line.

The Pick: Milwaukee Brewers +100
