Kevin Durant (hamstring) has been ruled out of Sunday’s game vs. the Clippers, per ESPN’s Malika Andrews. Steve Nash said KD will not play against the Clippers on Sunday in Los Angeles, adding that he is doing some strengthening exercises in addition to light on-court work at practice today. It will be the fourth straight game that Durant will miss with a hamstring injury but Brooklyn probably wants to take it easy with their superstar forward. We saw what happened the last time he was rushed back too quickly and there’s certainly no need for a repeat of that. Bruce Brown has been starting with KD out but Jeff Green has been the one putting up numbers for the Nets.

Kawhi Leonard (bruised left lower leg) had 29 points, five rebounds, four dimes and one block in 38 minutes during Friday’s 116-112 win vs. the Jazz. Kawhi wound up missing three games with his leg bruise, but nothing suggests it will be a lingering concern. Utah had 20 wins in their previous 21 games, while L.A. was welcoming four key players back from injury. The Clippers’ defense held up, though, and their second-unit scoring helped build a late cushion in a statement win that brings them within 2.5 games of Utah for the top spot in the West.
