According to oddsmakers from online sports book BetNow.eu, the Astros are -200 moneyline favorites. As of this writing, 62% of the betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Astros to beat the Yankees on the moneyline.

New York Yankees Fantasy Spin

Aaron Judge went 2-for-3 with a homer and two walks against the Astros on Monday. Judge isn’t off to a particularly loud start, yet he still has three homers and seven RBI through 10 games. That’s pretty good.

Houston Astros Fantasy Spin

Robinson Chirinos doubled twice and knocked in two runs as the Astros edged the Yankees 4-3 on Monday. Chirinos tied the game with his double off Zack Britton in the eighth, and Carlos Correa won it with a single in the bottom of the ninth. Chirinos is 6-for-24 with a homer and four RBI in the early going. He needs to make sure he keeps outhitting Max Stassi by a significant margin since Stassi is the far superior defender.

MLB Betting Trends

Houston

The Astros are 8-3 in their last 11 home games versus the Yankees.

New York

The Yankees are 5-2 in their last seven games against the Astros overall.

Prediction:

Jonathan Loaisiga is the Yankees’ top pitching prospect after going 15-4 with a 2.63 ERA in 43 minor-league starts. If he can avoid the blowup inning, the Yankees bullpen is loaded and should keep the game close in the late innings. Cole is filthy but to get 1.5 runs at only -115 on the money line with this Yankees team is good value for bettors.

The Pick: New York Yankees +1.5 (-115)
