Yankees win ninth straight

The New York Yankees extended their win streak to nine games on Thursday by picking up a 12-6 win over the Blue Jays. The Yankees have scored 44 runs over their last four games. New York is 76-39 overall, 33-31 on the road and 65-46 with the over. The Yankees have J.A. Happ getting the start tonight. He is 9-6 on the season with a 5.24 ERA.

New York racked up 15 hits on Thursday night, including three home runs. Gio Urshela had two home runs in the win and finished the game with three hits, three runs and four RBI. Mike Tauchman added two hits and drove in four runs while DJ LeMahieu had three hits, two runs and two RBI. Domingo German got his 15th win on the mound, as he allowed three earned runs over five innings. Luis Cessa picked up a three-inning save as well.

Blue Jays bombed in opener

MLB Betting Trends

New York

The Yankees have won five straight road games and 18 of their last 23 Friday games.

Toronto

The Blue Jays are 7-1 in their last eight Game 2’s of a series, but just 1-4 in their last five home games.

Prediction:

Both teams put on a hitting display last night and I think we could see more of the same today. Happ hasn’t had great numbers this year and is facing a young and surging Toronto lineup. Reid-Foley has good numbers this year, but has pitched a limited amount of time. He has struggled with walks this year and that won’t help him against New York. While I see a lot of runs, I think the Yankees will continue to outscore Toronto. The Yankees have the better bullpen and they are hitting at an unreal pace right now.

MLB Prediction: New York Yankees -155
