Oklahoma will face off against  their rivals Oklahoma State in a Big 12 Tournament game. With the odds sitting at -5 Sooners, is it a steal? We will give our Free Pick.

The Sooners have won both their contests this season against Oklahoma State. That does not mean that this game is over before it starts. The Cowboys seem to be a team that gets the better of the Oklahoma when we are around this time, having won four games against them all time in the Big 12 tournament. However, they closed the season losing five of six and their rivals finished off by winning four of their last five with the last win being against a powerful Kansas team which should give them momentum.

Bovada currently the sports betting odds at -5 favorites for the Sooners against the Cowboys, with the game total at 133.

Oklahoma State will be relying on their two star players who carried them the entire season, forward Le’Bryan Nash (16.8 PPG) and guard Phil Forte III (15.5 PPG). It should be noted that that Nash has scored double digit point in every game.

The Sooners will rely on their star Buddy Hield, who won the Big 12 player of the year award. Hield led the league with 17.4 points per game while averaging 5.5 rebounds. On defense, Oklahoma has the presence of Center Michael Cobbins, who led his team in blocks with 50 and rebounds per game with 5.9.

This rivalry has everything you want; tough defense and high tempo offense. Oklahoma has pretty much booked their name for the big tournament and the Cowboys are still fighting for one. I do believe the Cowboys do have a chance to win but they will have to play a perfect game which is very tough against this big Sooners team. Hield will be to hard to defend and the Sooners will prevail, even covering the -5 odd.
