According to oddsmakers, the Blue Jackets are a -120 favorite to win on the moneyline. The Flyers are a +100 underdog, while the total sits at 5.5 goals. Flyers topple Canucks

Philadelphia picked up a 2-1 home win Monday night over Vancouver to improve to 12-7-5 on the season. The Canucks led 1-0 through one period until the Flyers evened the score at the 14:26 mark of the second period as Sean Couturier scored on assists from Jakub Voracek and Robert Hagg. Voracek provided the go-ahead goal with 8:33 remaining in the third period with assists courtesy of Justin Braun and Couturier. Carter Hart secured 16 saves on 17 shots in the winning effort.

Blue Jackets shut out Senators

Columbus earned a 1-0 victory Monday night at home over Ottawa to move to 10-9-4 on the season. Oliver Bjorkstrand scored the game’s only goal 21 seconds into the third period off assists from Zach Werenski and Boone Jenner. Joonas Korpisalo stopped all 25 shots sent his way to post the shutout.

NHL Betting Trends

The Flyers are 4-1 in their last five games as a road underdog. Philadelphia is 5-11 in its last 16 road games.

The Blue Jackets are 4-0 in their last four home games. Columbus is 19-7 in the last 26 meetings.

Philadelphia has more talent on its roster and is coming off a solid win. Hart was great as a rookie and although it has been a rough go for him his sophomore season, he looked sharp a couple nights ago and could be primed for a major step forward the next few months. The Blue Jackets beat a struggling Ottawa squad their last game, yet this is a tougher challenge and I see good value on the Flyers in this spot.
