Suns fall at home

Phoenix lost 124-121 Thursday night at home versus New Orleans to drop to 7-7 overall and 5-5 at home. The Suns were outscored 65-55 in the second half of the defeat. Kelly Oubre Jr. paced Phoenix with 25 points on 7-of-17 shooting including 2-of-4 from 3-point distance plus 9-of-9 at the free throw line. He also recorded six rebounds and four assists. Devin Booker tallied 19 points, seven assists and five boards. Frank Kaminsky accounted for 14 points and five caroms. Cameron Johnson recorded 14 points and two steals off the bench. Mikal Bridges had 12 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals as a reserve. Elie Okobo added 11 points and seven dimes off the bench.

Andrew Wiggins led Minnesota with 22 points on 10-of-24 shooting including 1-of-10 from 3-point range plus 1-of-3 at the charity stripe. He also tallied seven rebounds and three assists. Karl-Anthony Towns contributed 14 points and 12 boards. Jeff Teague registered 12 points, six dimes and four rebounds. NBA Betting Trends

Phoenix

The Suns are 1-4 ATS in their last five games overall. Phoenix is 9-4 ATS in its last 13 road games.

Minnesota

The T-Wolves are 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine home games. The home team is 1-4-1 ATS in the last six meetings.

Prediction:

The Suns have cooled off after a hot start and even worse is that they have played the majority of their games at home thus far. Injuries and the suspension to DeAndre Ayton have certainly hurt, but Phoenix is also closer now to where people expected them all along. I think Minnesota is going to have a strong showing here in its second game back with Wiggins in the lineup and the earlier start time typically benefits the home team. I’m going with the Timerwolves this evening.
