The Spurs are playing well, led by star Harry Kane’s team-leading 16 goals, and will take a three-game winning streak into a high-profile showdown with Arsenal.

Manchester United may have earned a measure of satisfaction from its stunning win in the Manchester Derby, but that might be the last bit of drama in what should be a title romp for their arch-rivals.

Manchester City bounced back emphatically from its first loss since Nov. 21, trouncing Southampton to restore its 14-point lead over United in the English Premier League standings. City might not have clinched the championship yet, but oddsmakers have all but ruled this race over by making the runaway leaders -50,000 favorites to earn the crown. The real race is for the remaining Champions League and Europa League spots, which are very much up for grabs.

Here are our top Premier League betting plays for Matchday 28.

Premier League predictions for Matchday 28

Leeds vs Chelsea

Chelsea’s decision to hire Thomas Tuchel as manager continues to pay historic dividends as the Blues prepare to visit sagging Leeds on Saturday. Tuchel has led Chelsea to eight victories and three draws in 11 matches since taking over the helm, vaulting the club into fourth place in the Premier League standings and looking like a lock to secure an automatic postseason berth.

You can point to a number of things Chelsea has done well during this stretch, but defense is definitely at the top of the list. The Blues have surrendered just two goals over their previous 11 matches, and should have little trouble subduing a Leeds side that dropped their previous meeting 3-1 and is a good bet to be held off the scoresheet against a new and improved Chelsea.

PICK: Chelsea Win/Clean Sheet (+210)

Arsenal vs Tottenham

Arsenal host one of the marquee matchups on the Matchday 28 schedule Sunday as they welcome red-hot Tottenham to Emirates Stadium – and oddsmakers have this one as a near-dead heat. The Gunners (+155) continue to tread water in the domestic standings and could be in tough against a Spurs side (+175) that comes in having won three consecutive league matches.

On one hand, Tottenham have faced inferior competition of late, with each of those three wins coming against teams sitting 13th or lower in the table. But the Gunners are not exactly elite, and with Tottenham having gone unbeaten in the previous five meetings between the teams (three wins, two draws) we see them as the superior play in this high-profile showdown.

PICK: Tottenham (+175)

Wolverhampton vs Liverpool

Perhaps the defending Premier League champions have decided to punt the domestic season and pour all of their resources into the UEFA Champions League. That might be the only way to explain how Liverpool enter Monday’s tilt with host Wolverhampton having advanced to the quarterfinal in the Champions League despite just three wins in their last 14 league matches.

Whatever the case, it’s impossible to know which version of Jürgen Klopp’s squad will show up to Molineux Stadium next week. So let’s instead focus on the hosts, who have just six wins against four losses and six draws in 14 home matches in league play. Neither team has looked all that impressive of late, which leads us to the Under in what could be a hum-drum affair.

PICK: Under 2.5 (-110)
