New York Rangers Fantasy Spin

Henrik Lundqvist will start Saturday night against St. Louis. Lundqvist has served as the backup goaltender for the last two games, while 24-year-old rookie Igor Shesterkin posted wins in his first two NHL starts. Lundqvist last played on Jan. 2 in a 4-3 loss to Calgary. He has a 9-9-3 record this season with a 3.10 GAA and .910 save percentage in 24 appearances.

St. Louis Blues Fantasy Spin

David Perron lit the lamp in Thursday’s 5-1 win over Buffalo. Perron scored his team-leading 19th goal of the season during the second period on a Blues power play. He also leads the team with 45 points following 45 contests. Perron has three goals and two assists during a three-game point streak.

Betting Trends

New York

The Rangers are just 3-7 in their last 10 games as an underdog and are 17-38 in their last 55 games coming off a win.

St. Louis

The Blues are a perfect 7-0 in their last seven games as a home favorite and are 10-1 in their last 11 games as a favorite.

Our Prediction

The over is 11-1-1 in the Rangers’ last 13 games overall, is 9-1-1 in their last 11 games as an underdog and has hit in seven of their last eight games when facing Western Conference foes. On the other side, the over has cashed in seven of the Blues’ last 10 home games, is 5-1 in their last six games versus Eastern Conference competition and for one reason or another, has hit in six straight games when St. Louis has played on a Saturday. While it’s a risk to take the over with Jordan Binnington projected to start in net for the Blues, Rangers Tony De’Angelo is coming off a hat trick against the Devils on Thursday and added a pair of assists for the third five-point performance by a Rangers defenseman this season. Artemi Panarin has also notched at least three points in five of his last seven games overall and has 15 points (four goals, 11 assists) in 14 career meetings with St. Louis. On the other side, David Perron has been a monster, extending his point streak to three games (three goals, two assists) after scoring in his third consecutive game on Thursday. Ryan O’Reilly, who leads the Blues with 32 assists, is also riding a four-game point streak and should be a thorn in New York’s side.

Saturday NHL Prediction: Rangers/Blues OVER 6
