The defending NBA champion Toronto Raptors are on the verge of elimination but will attempt to keep their season alive when they take on the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference semifinals at 6:40 p.m. ET on Wednesday. Will the Raptors force a Game 7?

Toronto Raptors DFS Spin

Serge Ibaka was seen sporting a walking boot on his sprained left ankle during his media availability on Tuesday and he’s unsure if he’ll be ready for Game 6 on Wednesday. Ibaka tweaked his ankle during Game 5 on Monday, and while he felt he could initially play through it, it got worse for him overnight. He’ll be receiving treatment around the clock leading up to Wednesday’s tip, but if he’s unable to give it a go, Nick Nurse suggested he’ll give more minutes to Chris Boucher and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. While it’s not great that Ibaka is in a walking boot, it’s worth noting that that is standard procedure for the Raptors medical staff to put all their guys in boots after an ankle sprain, regardless of the severity.

Boston Celtics DFS Spin

Jaylen Brown hit 10-of-18 shots for 27 points, six rebounds, three steals and three 3-pointers to lead the Celtics to an easy Game 5 win over the Raptors. The Celtics have taken control of the series with a 3-2 lead and all five starters, and reserve Brad Wanamaker, scored in double figures for Boston. Game 6 is Wednesday when the Celtics will look to put the Raptors away.

Celtics vs. Raptors Game 6 Prediction

I’ve liked the Celtics in this series but I thought things changed after Game 4. While I backed the Raptors on Monday night and lost, I’m going back to them in Game 6. They’re 6-1-1 against the spread in their last eight playoff games as an underdog and have covered the number in 12 of their last 16 games coming off a loss of more than 10 points. Even without Kawhi, this Toronto team has plenty of experience and I doubt they go out in a whimper. They’ve got plenty of grit and I expect Kyle Lowry to play his best game of the series after doing a little bit of everything to help the Raptors win Game 4 of this series when they were facing a 3-1 series deficit. The end might be inevitable for the Raptors, but I don’t see them falling tonight. Either way, I’ll take the three points in a game that should come down to the wire.
