Ravens vs. Eagles, 10/18/20 NFL Week 6 Betting Predictions

The Ravens are 4-1 but all is not right with their offense, which ranks 24th overall heading into Sunday’s game versus the Eagles in Philly. Will Baltimore cover as a double-digit road favorite or is Philadelphia the play as a home dog?

Baltimore Ravens DFS Spin

Ravens QB Lamar Jackson said the team’s offense is “fine” despite his decreased rushing attempts this season. Baltimore’s offense ranks 24th in the league through five weeks, one year after finishing as the NFL’s No. 2 offense. Jackson, meanwhile, is the QB11 in fantasy football. He’s averaging a career-low 8.2 rushing attempts per game after running the ball twice in Baltimore’s Week 5 blowout win over the Bengals. ESPN’s Jamison Hensley said Jackson’s “lack of rushing last game can be attributed to a sore knee,” though it’s unclear how long the knee has bothered him, or how limiting the injury is. He’s on pace for 80 designed runs this season — a steep drop from last year’s 116. “As the season goes on, we’re going to see if we need to [run more]. Coach is going to adjust,” Jackson said. “Right now, we’re doing perfectly fine without me running so much.” Fantasy managers should continue plugging and playing Jackson with hopes that his rushing production picks up.

Philadelphia Eagles DFS Spin

Carson Wentz completed 20-of-35 passes for 258 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions in the Eagles’ Week 5 loss to the Steelers. Wentz made a handful of impressive downfield throws to Travis Fulgham but ultimately struggled to allude the Pittsburgh pass-rush and missed players on intermediate routes. Eagles RT Lane Johnson (ankle) left before halftime and did not return, exacerbating the pressure Pittsburgh was able to generate. Wentz’s final interception was on a hail mary throw so that one can be discounted but the first turnover came on an errant throw. He’s thrown nine interceptions through five games. Wentz isn’t in danger of losing his job yet but his team only has one win on the year. The schedule doesn’t get any easier next week with Baltimore on the horizon. Wentz projects as a QB2 in the difficult matchup.

Ravens vs. Eagles Betting Prediction

The Eagles are just 1-6 against the spread in their last seven home games, are 1-5 against the number in their last six games when facing an opponent with a winning record and are just 5-12 at the betting window in their last 17 games when listed as a home dog. On the other side, the Ravens have cashed in six of their last seven road games, are 5-1 against the number in their last six games as a road favorite and are 11-3 ATS in their last 14 games coming off a win.
