Austin Meadows went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in Monday’s win over the Yankees. Meadows took Jameson Taillon deep in the fourth inning, giving him three homers in his last four games. The 26-year-old is hitting .339 with 13 extra-base hits (including five homers) and 20 RBI over his last 15 games. Giancarlo Stanton went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in Monday’s loss to the Rays. Stanton is now 0-for-12 with eight strikeouts since coming off the injured list. He heard some boos at Yankee Stadium as frustrations mount with Yankees fans. Still, Stanton is a good bet to pick things up soon, at least assuming he can stay in the lineup.
