San Francisco Giants Fantasy Spin

Buster Posey hit a two-run double in the eighth inning to give the Giants a 6-5 victory on Saturday over the Rockies. With the Giants trailing 6-5 in the eighth inning, Posey came to the plate with two runners on and roped a two-run extra-base hit to give the Giants the lead and ultimately the win. It’s the 21st double for the former MVP, and he’s driven in 33 over 81 games in 2019. Posey is a shell of the player he once was, but he still provides some value because of the position scarcity. Tonight was a nice reminder that he was once among the best fantasy players in baseball.

Colorado Rockies Fantasy Spin

Charlie Blackmon went 3-for-5 with a homer on Saturday in a loss to the Giants. Blackmon’s homer is the 22nd of the season, and his first since July 21. He also singled twice, and Blackmon was able to add a second run scored in the strong fantasy game. The 33-year-old was briefly the subject of trade rumors, and it’s possible that he’ll be moved at some point this winter. That’s a discussion for another day, and playing half his games in the friendly confines of Coors Field, Blackmon is now slashing .321/.369/.592 with 63 RBI in 92 games.
