Public Betting Trends

According to our MLB Public Betting Chart page, 58% of the betting tickets are on the Cardinals to beat the Brewers on the moneyline.

St. Louis Cardinals Fantasy Spin

Yadier Molina homered twice and had a career-high 10 total bases Tuesday in the Cardinals’ win over the Brewers. After walking in the second inning, Molina sent one over the left-center field wall in the fifth to tie the game. He then golfed one off the foul pole in left field in the seventh for a two-run shot to give the Cards a lead that they wouldn’t relinquish. The catcher added a double in the ninth for a cherry on top. After not homering since May 14, Molina has now gone deep three times over his last two games. He’s batting .452 across his last nine contests. Perhaps Yadi is finally starting to get over his nagging thumb injury.

Milwaukee Brewers Fantasy Spin

Yasmani Grandal popped a two-run home run in Tuesday’s loss to the Cardinals. Grandal took reliever Andrew Miller deep with a no-doubter in the bottom of the eighth inning to cut the Cards’ lead to one at the time, but St. Louis tacked some runs on and held on to win. The switch-hitter now has seven home runs from the right side of the plate versus 14 bombs from the left side.

MLB Betting Trends

St. Louis

The Cardinals are 15-3 in their last 18 games overall and have won four out of their last five games on the road.

Milwaukee

The Brewers have now dropped four out of their last five games versus the rest of the National League Central.

Prediction:

The Cardinals are now 8-1 in their last nine games versus the Brewers, who are just 1-5 in their last six games when facing an opponent with a winning record. The Cards have also won six of Jack Flaherty’s last seven starts, are 4-0 in his last four outings coming off four days of rest and have won 20 of their last 26 games versus divisional opponents. With Flaherty on the mound and given their recent dominance of the Brewers, this isn’t a bad moneyline price for the Cards this afternoon.

The Pick: St. Louis Cardinals -135
