According to the latest oddsmakers, Cincinnati is the favorite in this game, as the Bearcats are getting odds of -10.5 points against Temple. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 45.5 points. The public betting currently has 71 percent going on Temple as the road underdog. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our NCAAF Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Temple trying to heat up

The Temple Owls had suffered back-to-back losses to SMU and UCF last month, but they have since rebounded with wins over South Florida and Tulane in recent weeks. Temple is 7-3 on the season, 4-2 in the AAC, 6-4 against the spread and 5-5 with the over/under total.

Temple is average on both sides of the ball this year. The Owls are giving up just 25 points and 384.4 yards per game on defense, while the offense is putting up 26.7 points and 394.7 yards per contest. Anthony Russo has thrown for 2,258 yards and 18 touchdowns to lead the offense this year while Re’Mahn Davis is the leading rusher with 724 yards and five scores. Jadan Blue is the team’s top receiver with 67 catches for 803 yards and three touchdowns. Quincy Roche is having a nice year on the defense, posting 35 tackles and 9.5 sacks.

Cincinnati survives another scare

The Cincinnati Bearcats are coming off a 20-17 win at USF last weekend to extend their win streak to eight games. Two of their last three wins have been by three points. Cincinnati is now 9-1 on the year, 6-0 in the AAC, 6-4 against the spread and 7-3 with the under.

The Bearcats have been led by their defense this year, allowing just 20.6 points and 370.7 yards per game. Offensively, Cincinnati is putting up 31.4 points and 393.4 yards per contest. Desmond Ridder has thrown for 1,774 yards and 17 touchdowns this year, while also rushing for 435 yards. Michael Warren II is the team’s leading rusher with 833 yards and 10 touchdowns while Josiah Deguara is the leading receiver with 30 catches for 424 yards and seven scores.

College Football Betting Trends

Temple

The Owls have hit the under in four straight games in November, but they are 8-3 with the over in their last 11 games on fieldturf.

Cincinnati

The Bearcats have hit the under in five straight home games and in seven of their last 10 games overall.

Prediction:

These two have hit the over in three straight meetings in Cincinnati. The total is being set low for two teams that have been defensive-minded. The Owls haven’t great on offense this year and I think they will have trouble finding consistent offense against the Bearcats on the road. Cincinnati has had some strong nights on offense, but the Bearcats tend to play to the level of their competition. Their competition this week is a team that can’t score a lot, so I think Cincy will struggle to score as well. They just aren’t a team that tends to pull away from opponents.

College Football Week 13 Prediction: Temple/Cincinnati Under 45.5
