Yankees homer five times in win

Neil Walker helped lead the charge for New York last night in a 7-3 home win over Texas as he hit two solo home runs in four at-bats. Brett Gardner went 2-for-4, while Giancarlo Stanton finished 1-for-4 with a solo home run. Didi Gregorius was 1-for-3 with a walk and a run. Aaron Hicks went 1-for-3 with a home run, a walk and two RBIs. Miguel Andujar finished 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs. J.A. Happ gave up three earned runs on four hits with nine strikeouts and a walk over six innings to earn the win.

Choo drives in pair of runs

Shin-Soo Choo went 1-for-2 with a double, a walk and two RBIs in last night’s loss to the Yankees. Jurickson Profar ended the game 2-for-4 with a solo home run. Robinson Chirinos went 0-for-2, but walked twice and scored a run. Willie Calhoun finished 1-for-3 with a walk and a run. Ariel Jurado took the loss as he was shelled for six earned runs on seven hits with one strikeout and three walks over five innings.

Mike Minor (8-6, 4.53 ERA) draws the start today for the Rangers, while Masahiro Tanaka (9-2, 3.76) will be on the mound for the Yankees.

MLB Betting Trends

Texas

The Rangers are 9-4 in their last 13 games overall. Texas is 7-4 in its last 11 meetings in New York.

New York

The Yankees are 58-19 in their last 77 home games. The under is 9-2 in the last 11 Yankees games on Fridays.

Prediction:

New York is dominant at home and has hitters such as Stanton who crush lefties. Tanaka has the ability to shut down any offense when he is on. I’m thinking the Yankees will win another game by multiple runs as they are playing fantastic baseball at the moment.
