Public Betting Trends

According to the latest oddsmakers, Air Force is the slight favorite at home, as the Falcons are getting odds of -3.5 points against Utah State. The over/under total for the contest is listed at 58.5 points. The public betting currently has 51 percent going on Utah State as the road underdog. This information is subject to change, however, so be sure to check out our NCAAF Public Betting Page for updated figures on the game.

Air Force rolls Hawaii

Air Force is coming off a 56-26 win at Hawaii last weekend to stay in the Mountain West Conference mix. The Falcons are 5-2 on the year, 3-1 in the MWC, 4-3 against the spread and 5-2 with the over.

The Falcons are respectable on both sides of the ball. The defense is allowing just 24 points and 335.7 yards per game, while the offense is putting up 37.4 points and 439.6 yards per contest. Air Force has the second-leading ground attack in the nation at 305.9 yards per game. Kadin Remsberg leads the way with 531 rushing yards and five scores. Quarterback Donald Hammond III has rushed for 258 yards and eight scores while throwing for 677 yards and five touchdowns. However, he is dealing with a shoulder injury that has him listed as questionable for this game. Geraud Sanders is his leading receiver with 20 catches for 479 yards and four touchdowns.

Aggies unbeaten in MWC

Utah State is coming off a 36-10 win at home over Nevada last weekend to improve to 4-2 on the season. The Aggies are 3-0 in the Mountain West Conference, 4-2 against the spread and 4-2 with the under.

The Aggies are a solid offense, averaging 32.7 points and 453.3 yards per game on offense. The Utah State defense is giving up 23 points and 406.2 yards per contest. Jordan Love has thrown for 1,506 yards and seven touchdowns, but also has nine interceptions. Gerold Bright and Jaylen Warren have combined for 845 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on the ground while Siaosi Mariner is the leading receiver with 26 catches for 403 yards.

College Football Betting Trends

Air Force

The Falcons have hit the over in five straight games in October and in five of their last six home games.

Utah State

The Aggies are 5-1 with the under in their last six road games and in five straight conference games.

Prediction:

These two have hit the over in three of their last four meetings, including the last two collisions at Air Force. Air Force is a consistent offense that hasn’t found its equal on defense for the most part, especially at home. Utah State is also capable of putting up some points, and the Aggies will have to score in order to win this game. I think this game becomes a shootout in the second half and that allows the total to go over late.

College Football Week 9 Prediction: Utah State/Air Force Over 58.5
