Turner, Cabrera power Nats

Washington picked up a 6-4 victory Friday night at Miami to improve to 84-68 overall and 42-37 on the road. Trea Turner helped pace the Nationals offense as he finished 2-for-4 with two solo home runs. Asdrubal Cabrera went 2-for-3 with a home run, a walk and three RBIs. Howie Kendrick ended the contest 2-for-4 with two runs scored. Anibal Sanchez picked up the win as he gave up four runs (three earned) on six hits with one strikeout and one walk over five innings. Daniel Hudson notched the save as he allowed three hits with no strikeouts and no walks over two innings. Stephen Strasburg will start tonight for Washington as he comes in with a 17-6 record, 3.49 ERA and 1.06 WHIP plus 235 strikeouts across 196 innings pitched.

Castro has three-hit night

Miami lost by a score of 6-4 at home Friday night versus Washington to drop to 53-100 overall and 29-50 on the road. Starlin Castro led the Marlins offense as he ended the contest 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and two runs scored. Isan Diaz was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Jon Berti was 2-for-5 with an RBI. Robert Dugger suffered the loss as he gave up four earned runs on three hits with four strikeouts and two walks over five innings. Elieser Hernandez takes the mound tonight for Miami as he enters with a 3-5 record, 5.03 ERA and 1.24 WHIP with 85 strikeouts over 82 1/3 innings of work.

MLB Betting Trends

Washington

The Nationals are 2-6 in their last eight Saturday games. Washington is 41-15 in the last 56 Strasburg road starts.

Miami

The Marlins are 2-8 in their last 10 Saturday games. Miami is 0-5 in its last five home games.

Prediction:

Strasburg has been absolutely dominant against the Marlins the last two times he’s faced them. While he hasn’t been great his last couple starts, I’m going to say he owns the Marlins once again and guides his squad to another important win.
