Anaheim won by a count of 2-1 Friday night at Columbus to improve to 4-1-0 on the season. The Ducks took a 1-0 advantage with 7:01 remaining in the second period on a shorthanded goal from Jakob Silfverberg assisted by Rickard Rickell and Hampus Lindholm. Cam Fowler made it 2-0 two minutes later off assists from Ondrej Kase and Jacob Larsson. Ryan Miller accounted for 26 saves on 27 shots to notch the win.

Bruins shut out Devils

Boston secured a 3-0 home win Saturday night over New Jersey to improve to 4-1-0 on the seaosn. Brad Marchand opened the scoring 3:33 in off an assist by David Pastrnak. Joakim Nordstrom made it 2-0 later in the first via assists by Chris Wagner and Sean Kuraly. Patrice Bergeron added the final goal on the power play in the final minute of the second period on assists by Jake DeBrusk and Marchand.

MLB Betting Trends

The Ducks are 10-2 in their last 12 games versus the Eastern Conference. Anaheim is 22-8 in its last 30 games overall.

The Bruins are 20-7 in their last 27 games versus the Pacific Division. Boston is 59-26 in its last 85 home games.

An early game against a West Coast team doesn’t necessarily seem fair, but the Ducks were at least in Columbus and had a couple days off. While Anaheim is playing well, however, I trust Boston more to bottle things up in the unusual start time and with the system that is working almost flawlessly in the early going this season. Go with Boston to get the job done in this spot.
