Brooklyn Nets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder, 3/13/19 Predictions & Odds

After beating a good Jazz team in Utah on Monday night, have the Thunder righted the ship? They’re laying seven points as a home favorite tonight against a Nets team that has won four in a row. Is Brooklyn a good bet to cover as a road dog?

Our NBA Live Odds page pulls spreads and totals from multiple different online sportsbooks so you can compare betting odds to ensure you’re getting the best line.

Public Betting Trends

According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Thunder are 7-point favorites to beat the Nets. The total, meanwhile, sits at 230.5 points and as of this writing, 55% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Thunder to cover the point spread.

Brooklyn Nets Fantasy Spin

D’Angelo Russell played 24 minutes Monday vs. the Pistons, finishing with 11 points (5-of-13 FGs), seven assists, three rebounds, two steals, one blocked shot and one three-pointer. Russell did not have his best night scoring-wise, but he did tally seven assists and help lead the Nets to a 28-point win over the Pistons in Brooklyn. The fourth-year point guard is shooting just 39.0% from the field, 30.6% from three and 46.2% from the foul line over his last five games, which is a bit of an issue for those who have him on their rosters. However, given how well the All-Star guard has played throughout the entire season it’s fair to assume that this slump will come to an end soon enough. And even with the shooting issues Russell has been a top-100 player over the last month.

Oklahoma City Thunder Fantasy Spin

Paul George had another quiet night vs. the Jazz on Monday, hitting 2-of-8 shots and 10-of-12 free throws for 14 points. The Thunder still pulled out a 98-89 win, and the rest of George’s line was solid with 11 rebounds, four assists, three steals, one block and five turnovers. George has spoiled his fantasy owners for most of the season as the 3rd ranked asset in standard leagues, but working his way back from his shoulder issue has proven to be a pretty large speed-bump. Next up is a back-to-back set vs. the Nets and Pacers on Wednesday and Thursday.

NBA Betting Trends

Brooklyn

The Nets are 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games overall and are 2-5 against the number in their last seven games coming off a win.

Oklahoma City

The Thunder failed to cover the number in eight of their previous 10 games when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game.

Prediction

Until George is firing on all cylinders offensively, I’m not going to back the Thunder laying a big number. Now, I did take a flier on them on Monday night in Utah, but they were catching 3.5 points as an underdog. And with the way the Nets have competed in this series (5-1 against the spread in their last six games in OKC and 7-2 ATS in their last nine games versus the Thunder overall), I like getting the points tonight. The underdog is also 6-2 against the spread in the last eight meetings between these teams while the Nets have covered the number in seven of their previous 10 road games.

Wednesday NBA Prediction: Brooklyn Nets +7
