Chicago Cubs Fantasy Spin

Jason Heyward singled three times and scored the Cubs’ lone run Tuesday in St. Louis. Heyward singled to lead off the fourth inning and came around to score on a two-out RBI single by Javier Baez. He added a couple other base knocks, collecting half of the Cubs’ hits on the night. Heyward batted second in this one but should slide back down to his more familiar sixth spot when Willson Contreras returns to the lineup Wednesday.

St. Louis Cardinals Fantasy Spin

Paul Goldschmidt launched a go-ahead solo home run in the sixth inning Tuesday in the Cardinals’ win over the Cubs. Yu Darvish looked good in this one, but he made a mistake on the inner half of the plate to Goldschmidt with one out in the sixth and Goldy punished the ball into the visitor’s bullpen. The first baseman also added a single in the game. Goldschmidt’s streak of six straight games with a home run came to an end on Sunday, but he’s now started another one
