White Sox drop fourth straight

Chicago suffered its fourth straight loss on Monday night in a 5-2 loss at Kansas City. The White Sox are 42-48 on the year, 17-28 on the road and 45-43 with the under. Dylan Cease is getting the start for Chicago tonight. He is 1-0 on the season with a 5.40 ERA.

The White Sox struggled at the plate on Monday night, scoring just two runs on eight hits. Jon Jay had four of the eight hits for Chicago, including a pair of doubles. James McCann had a solo home run in the loss as well. Lucas Giolito took the loss, falling to 11-4 on the year. He threw six innings and gave up three runs on seven hits with five strikeouts.

Royals heating up?

Kansas City has won three of its last four games following Monday’s win over the White Sox. KC is now 33-62 on the season, 19-29 at home and 47-43 with the over. The Royals have Glenn Sparkman getting the start tonight. He is 2-5 on the season with a 5.18 ERA.

Jakob Junis got his fifth win of the year on Monday, pitching seven innings and allowing one run on five hits with 10 strikeouts. Ian Kennedy got his 14th save of the season as well. MLB Betting Trends

Chicago

The White Sox have lost four straight road games and 36 of their last 51 Tuesday games.

Kansas City

The Royals are 4-1 in their last five home games against a team with a losing record. However, they are just 2-6 in Sparkman’s last eight starts.

Prediction:

Cease has just one start this year, a 3-run outing over five innings against the Tigers. Sparkman has struggled as of late, allowing fur runs or more in three straight starts. He has surprisingly pitched well at home, posting a 2.19 ERA. However, he has a 7.04 ERA over two starts against the White Sox this season. Despite Chicago losing on Monday, the Sox are the better team here. Kansas City can’t consistently put up runs and their pitching isn’t going to lock down the Sox all too often.

MLB Prediction: Chicago White Sox -125
