Venue: Vivint Smart Home Arena, Salt Lake City, UT

Memphis Grizzlies DFS Notes

Ja Morant scored 26 points in a win against the No. 1 seed Jazz on Sunday, but didn’t contribute a whole lot else with four rebounds, four assists and a steal in 36 minutes. He was an efficient 11-of-21 mark from the field, and his 10 points in the fourth quarter must have come from doing his best playoff-debut-Dillon-Brooks impression. He’ll normally tally on some more assists at the least, but the Griz only had 18 of them on 45 made field goals in this one, but the clutch points and victory are all that matter to Ja and company. Fellow big-man and alley-oop retriever Jonas Valanciunas was solid with a 15-point, 13-rebound double-double to go with three assists and a block in 39 big minutes.

Utah Jazz DFS Notes

Shams Charania of The Athletic is reporting that Donovan Mitchell (sprained right ankle) will be good to go for Game 2 vs. the Grizzlies on Wednesday. Mitchell was reportedly furious that the Utah medical staff opted to hold him out of Game 1, as his personal training staff is at odds with the Utah medics, but this will no longer be a point of contention by Wednesday. He may have some minutes restrictions, but they’ll probably be light, and his return to the rotation will jettison Joe Ingles from the first unit.

Grizzlies vs. Jazz Playoffs Prediction

The over is 6-0 in the last six meetings between these two teams and is 5-1 in the last six meetings overall. The over is also 7-3 in the Grizzlies’ last 10 games as an underdog and is 5-0 in their last five conference quarterfinals games. On the other side, the over is 4-0 in the Jazz’ last four playoff games as a favorite, is 4-0 in their last four games as a home favorite and is 4-1 in their last five home games.
