Jayhawks blast Cowboys

Kansas raced to an 83-58 home victory Monday night over Oklahoma State to improve to 25-3 overall and 14-1 in the Big 12 Conference. The Jayhawks led 35-25 at halftime and continued to pull away after the break. Udoka Azubuike led Kansas with 19 points on 6-of-7 shooting plus 7-of-8 at the free throw line. He also racked up 16 rebounds, three blocked shots and two assists. Ochai Agbaji contributed 15 points in 27 minutes of action. Devon Dotson accounted for 11 points, five boards and four dimes. David McCormick had 10 points and four caroms off the bench. Christian Braun added 10 points and two rebounds as a reserve.

College Basketball Betting Trends

Kansas

The road team is 7-20-2 ATS in the last 29 meetings. The over-under is 3-3 in the last six meetings.

Kansas State

The Wildcats are 2-4 ATS in the last six meetings. Kansas State is 1-5 straight up in the last six meetings.

Prediction:

The Jayhawks aren’t messing around this season and this KSU squad is the weakest it will face since the last time they faced their rivals. That game ended in an ugly brawl and emotions will run high today. Look for an ugly game as Kansas has the nation’s top defense in terms of adjusted efficiency, while Kansas State not only has a subpar offense but is also fairly reliable on the defensive end. While the Jayhawks scored 81 points last time, I don’t see a repeat this afternoon.
