Knicks vs. Suns, 5/7/21 NBA Predictions, Odds & DFS Notes

The Suns are 6-point home favorites versus the Knicks at 10:00 p.m. ET on Friday night. Will Phoenix cash or is New York the better option as a road underdog?

Game Snapshot

559 New York Knicks (+6) at 560 Phoenix Suns (-6); o/u 218

10:00 p.m. ET, Thursday, May 7, 2021

Venue: Phoenix Suns Arena

New York Knicks DFS Notes

Nerlens Noel (ankle) ripped away two steals and sent six shots packing in his return to action on Wednesday. Noel was moving around fine after missing Monday’s game, which was the second of a back-to-back, so he should be good to go for Friday’s game in Pheonix. He added five points (2-of-3 FG, 1-of-2 FT), five rebounds and two turnovers in his 30 minutes of floor time, but the defensive stats are why you have him on your roster. Taj Gibson returned to the second unit and finished with two points, one rebound, one assist, one steal and one block over 12 minutes; while Norvel Pelle saw just five minutes off the bench and contributed two points and one rebound in the loss.

Phoenix Suns DFS Notes

Devin Booker hit 14-of-27 shots and a 3-pointer for 31 points, six rebounds, five assists, a steal and zero turnovers in 40 minutes of Tuesday’s overtime win against the Cavaliers. Booker, Mikal Bridges, Deandre Ayton, Chris Paul and Frank Kaminsky all hit double digits in the scoring column for the Suns as they ran away from the Cavs in overtime. They play in Altanta on Wednesday night and it will be interesting to see if the Suns run the starters big minutes in that one after everyone played a ton of minutes tonight. Given that the Suns now hold the No. 1 seed in a tie breaker over the Jazz in the West, there’s a good chance they keep trying to win every game in hopes of securing the No. 1 seed heading into the playoffs.

Knicks vs. Suns Game Prediction

The Knicks are 5-15-1 against the spread in their last 21 games versus the Suns and are 2-5-1 at the betting window in their last eight games in Phoenix. The Suns, meanwhile, are 16-5 against the spread in their last 21 games coming off a loss, are 20-8-1 against the number in their last 29 games playing on one day of rest and are 11-5 at the betting window in their last 16 home games versus a team with a losing road record.

NBA PREDICTION: PHOENIX SUNS -6
