Public Betting Information

According to oddsmakers at, the Lightning are a -150 favorite to win on the moneyline. The Golden Knights are a +150 underdog, while the over-under is set at 6.5 goals. As of Tuesday morning, 77 percent of public bets are pouring in on host Tampa Bay. Check out our NHL Public Betting Page for the latest info.

Golden Knights lose fourth straight

Las Vegas fell by a count of 3-1 Saturday night at Florida to drop to 29-21-4 on the season. Max Pacioretty scored the lone Golden Knights goal in the first period to even the score at 1-1. Paul Stastny assisted on the goal. After a scoreless second period, Las Vegas surrendered two goals in the third to fall behind 3-1. The Golden Knights took 35 shots on goal with Stastny leading the way with six shots. Marc-Andre Fleury gave up two goals on 24 shots in the losing effort.

Lightning edge host Rangers

Tampa Bay secured a 3-2 victory at New York Saturday night to improve to 39-11-2 on the season. Yanni Gourde gave the Lightning a 1-0 advantage in the first period on a goal assisted by Ryan McDonagh and Mathieu Joseph. Erik Cernak scored his first goal of the season in the second with assists going to Ryan Callahan and Cedric Paquette. Steven Stamkos made it a 3-0 game with his 28th goal of the season off assists by Victor Hedman and Nikita Kucherov. The Rangers scored late in the second and again in the third to cut it to 3-2, but Tampa Bay managed to hang on. Louis Domingue made 31 saves on 33 shots to record the win.

NHL Betting Trends

Las Vegas

The Golden Knights are 6-1 in their last seven games playing on two days of rest. Las Vegas is 4-1 in its last five Tuesday games.

Tampa Bay

The Lightning are 5-1 in their last six games versus the Pacific Division. Tampa Bay is 39-13 in its last 52 games overall.

If you are a team in a slump, Tampa Bay is maybe the last place you want to play. While underdog bets are always nice because of the plus money, I think the host Lightning with starting goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy in net tonight are going to get the job done. Ultimately, I think Tampa Bay will simply have too much firepower on its home ice.
