Public Betting Trends

According to oddsmakers from online sportsbook BetNow.eu, the Lakers are 4-point favorites to beat the Clippers. The total, meanwhile, sits at 237 points and as of this writing, 52% of the public betting tickets wagered at online sportsbooks are on the Clippers to cover the point spread.

Los Angeles Clippers Fantasy Spin

Danilo Gallinari scored 20 points on 8-of-15 shooting across 23 minutes in an easy win over the Knicks on Sunday. The Knicks had precisely zero answers for Gallinari, and he probably would have had a more impressive stat line had the game not been over by halftime. He added three triples, seven rebounds, four assists and three turnovers while he was out there, but he took an early seat during the third quarter and didn’t log a single minute during the final frame of action

Los Angeles Lakers Fantasy Spin

LeBron James played a game-high 41 minutes in Saturday’s loss to Phoenix, finishing with 27 points (10-of-21 FGs, 3-of-7 FTs), 16 assists, nine rebounds and four 3-pointers. The Lakers added to their list of bad losses Saturday, which isn’t a good look for a team that’s now 4 1/2 games out of eighth place in the West. James, who finished the game one rebound short of a triple-double, missed two key free throws in the game’s final minute that would have trimmed the deficit down to three points. LeBron has scored 27 points or more in five of his last six games, with five double-doubles and one triple-double. But James has only been a top-40 player over the last two weeks, with his foul shooting (60.8%) being the biggest issue.

NBA Betting Trends

The Clippers have covered the spread in five of their last six games after scoring more than 125 points in their previous game.

The Lakers have failed to cover in 35 of their last 52 games played on Monday night.

While the Lakers have dropped seven of their last 10 games, the Clippers have won six of their last 10. The Clippers are also 4-0 against the spread in their last four “road” games against the Lakers, have covered four straight overall and five of their last six against the Western Conference. On the other side, the Lakers failed to cover in four of their last five games overall and are 1-4 ATS in their last five games playing on one day of rest.

Monday NBA Prediction: Los Angeles Clippers +4
