New York Mets DFS SPIN

Brought in with a 2-0 lead to start the eighth. Trevor May gave up three runs — two earned — in one-third of an inning to take a loss in his Mets debut Monday. This isn’t going to make for a very friendly Twitch chat. May struck out Adam Haseley to start the inning, but he gave up a single, a walk and a single to the remaining three batters he faced. Aaron Loup came in at that point and hit Bryce Harper with a pitch before giving up a game-tying single. It ended up being a five-run inning for the Phillies. Obviously, May should get another chance or two before anyone writes him off as the Mets’ eighth-inning guy.

Philadelphia Phillies DFS SPIN

J.T. Realmuto delivered a game-tying single in the eighth as the Phillies came from behind to beat the Mets 5-3. All five Phillies runs came in the eighth. Realmuto’s hit came after Trevor May retired just one of the four batters he faced. Aaron Loup came on and plunked Bryce Harper, setting up Realmuto with the bases loaded. The single followed, and the Phillies went on to add three more runs after Luis Guillorme and James McCann combined to botch a play at home plate. The Phillies are now 4-0 on the young season.

Mets vs. Phillies Betting Prediction

The Mets are now just 4-12 in their last 16 meetings with the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park and are 4-9 in their last 13 games in this series overall. The Mets are also 0-4 in their last four games dating back to last season, are 0-6 in their last six games versus a right-handed starter and 0-4 in their last four road games. The Phillies, meanwhile, are a perfect 4-0 in their last four games, are 5-0 in their last five divisional games and are 5-1 in their last six games as a home dog.

MLB BETTING PREDICTION: PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES +115
