Wild secure win over Coyotes

Minnesota earned a 2-1 victory at home Tuesday night over Arizona as Eric Staal scored the go-ahead goal with 13:42 left in the third period. Jason Zucker and Ryan Suter assisted on the score. Mikael Granlund scored the first Wild goal to tie the score in the second period on an assist from Jared Spurgeon. Devan Dubnyk picked up the win as he stopped 31 of 32 shots sent his way.

Stars shut out at Devils

Dallas could not muster a goal Tuesday night in a 3-0 loss at New Jersey. Gemel Smith and Miro Heiskanen each had a rough night as they were on the ice for two of the three Devils goals. Tyler Seguin led the Stars by a large margin with six shots on goal, but had nothing to show for it. No one else had more than two shots on goal. Anton Khudobin suffered the loss as he surrendered three goals on 34 shots.

NHL Betting Trends

Minnesota

The Wild are 0-5 in their last five road games. Minnesota is 5-2 in the last seven meetings.

Dallas

The Stars are 4-0 in their last four games versus the Western Conference. The under is 7-3 in the last 10 meetings in Dallas.

Prediction:

This should be a competitive matchup and I think Minnesota has the type of structured defensive gameplan to frustrate the Stars, even on their home ice. I like another strong effort out of Dubnyk and company to get the victory here as underdogs.
