The Canadiens made it a 1-1 game five-plus minutes into the third period, but the Predators took the lead again a few minutes later as Brian Boyle scored his 14th goal of the season. Assists on the goal went to P.K. Subban and Roman Josi. Viktor Arvidsson added an insurance goal, his 26th of the season, with nine minutes remaining on assists from Ryan Johansen and Ryan Ellis. Pekka Rinne turned away 34 of 35 shots in the winning effort.

Paul Stastny tied it up at 1-1 for the Golden Knights on a shorthanded goal 2:46 into the second period off an assist from Reilly Smith. Oscar Lindberg gave Las Vegas a 2-1 advantage less than five minutes later on a goal assisted by Cody Eakin and Shea Theodore. The Maple Leafs proceeded to score twice to take a 3-2 advantage through two periods. The Golden Knights evened it up again with 15:48 left in the third as William Karlsson scored his 18th goal of the season, assisted by Jon Merrill and Jonathan Marchessault. NHL Betting Trends

Nashville

The Predators are 4-1 in their last five games as an underdog. Nashville is 17-8 in its last 25 games versus a team with a winning record.

Las Vegas

The Golden Knights are 2-7 in their last nine games overall. Las Vegas is 5-2 in its last seven games following a loss by three or more goals.

Prediction:

Nashville is playing the better hockey at the moment and Rinne is in a groove. With Las Vegas struggling to get it going, I’m going to take a shot on a good value pick with Nashville here. Neither team has a rest advantage, so I’ll go with the squad that is playing stronger hockey at the moment.
