Kluber became the latest starting pitcher to dominate the Tigers’ floundering lineup, recording his first double-digit strikeout performance since September 24, 2018. The 35-year-old veteran righty generated an absurd 20 swinging strikes and finished with a robust 34 percent CSW (called strikes plus whiffs). He allowed only two hits and one walk, needing only 103 pitches (74 strikes) to navigate eight scoreless frames. He’ll carry a solid 3.03 ERA, 1.35 WHIP and 29/14 K/BB ratio across 29 2/3 innings (six starts) into a home outing against the Nationals on Saturday.
