NBA All-Star Weekend Odds: LeBron, Curry Highlight Favorites

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, a three-time NBA All-Star Game MVP, is the favorite to win this year’s award in Atlanta.

NBA All-Star Weekend odds are on the board ahead of one of the league’s marquee events, set to take place in Atlanta on Sunday, March 7. The entire showcase will happen on one day this year, which is a different format than the annual weekend-long tradition. 

We bring you the NBA All-Star odds for the MVP, Slam Dunk Contest, 3-Point Contest, and Skills Competition. Check back Friday for odds on the actual NBA All-Star Game after team captains LeBron James and Kevin Durant select their teams.

NBA All-Star Game MVP odds

Three-time NBA All-Star Game MVP LeBron James is the favorite to win the 2021 MVP award at +450 odds. James, the captain of Team LeBron, last won the award in 2018 and has averaged 24.1 points over 16 All-Star appearances. The 36-year-old holds a number of All-Star Game records, including most points scored.

NBA Slam Dunk Contest odds

New York Knicks rookie Obi Toppin is a +150 betting favorite to win the NBA Slam Dunk Contest. Toppin, 23, hasn’t received much run with the Knicks after a two-year stint at Dayton, but the 6-foot-9 forward can fly.

NBA 3-Point Contest odds

Curry is a +190 favorite to win the 3-Point Contest. The long-range assassin, who won the event in 2015, will compete in his seventh 3-Point Contest. The Warriors star leads the NBA in 3-pointers made with 169, averaging 4.8 per game on 41.1 percent shooting.

NBA Skills Challenge odds

Chris Paul, who has helped anchor the Phoenix Suns’ turnaround, is the favorite to win the NBA Skills Challenge at +175 odds. This will mark Paul’s fifth appearance in the event and first since 2011, but he has never won the competition. Domantas Sabonis, who comes in at +400 odds, was the runner-up in last year’s Skills Challenge in Chicago.
