NFL Divisional Playoffs, 1/16/21 Rams vs. Packers Over/Under Predictions

The first game of the NFL Divisional Round Playoffs will take place on Saturday afternoon at Lambeau Field where the Green Bay Packers will host the L.A. Rams at 4:35 p.m. ET. Will today turn into a shootout or more of a defensive battle between the teams?

Game Snapshot

301 Los Angeles Rams (+6.5) at 302 Green Bay Packers (-6.5); o/u 45.5

4:35 p.m. ET, Saturday, January 16, 2021

Venue: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI

TV: FOX

Los Angeles Rams DFS Spin

Cooper Kupp (knee) is listed as questionable for the Divisional Round against the Packers. Dealing with inflammation in his knee, Kupp would be a stunning inactive in the Rams’ matchup with Green Bay after catching 4-of-9 targets for 78 yards in LA’s Wild Card win over the Seahawks. None of the Rams wideouts have much DFS appeal with an injured Jared Goff under center in the freezing Lambeau weather. If Kupp is out, Van Jefferson and Josh Reynolds would be in line for a bump in snaps and targets.

Green Bay Packers DFS Spin

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers was voted first-team All-Pro by the Associated Press. This is the third All-Pro selection for Rodgers, who beat out Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen. It’s also a strong sign Rodgers will be voted MVP later this month. Rams DT Aaron Donald and Chiefs TE Travis Kelce were the only unanimous picks. Titans RB Derrick Henry, Packers WR Davante Adams, and Bills WR Stefon Diggs all made the team as first-time selections.

Rams vs. Packers Divisional Round Over/Under Prediction

The over is 7-0 in the Packers’ last seven games played in the month of January, is 5-0 in their last five playoff games and is 5-1 in their last six games versus an opponent with a winning record. The over is also 6-2 in Green Bay’s last eight Divisional round playoff games, is 7-3 in its last 10 playoff games as a favorite and is 18-8 in its last 26 games after accumulating less than 90 yards rushing in its previous game.

On the other side, the over is 5-0 in the Rams’ last five Divisional playoff games, is 7-1 in their last eight games as an underdog and has cashed in six of their last seven games as a road dog. The over has also hit in five of their last six road games when facing an opponent with a winning home record.
